Registration procedure

To participate in the AfriMAQUA 2023 events, including the scientific conference, field tour, stakeholder workshop, and/or training course, all attendees are required to create an account on the scienceconf.org website. This account will also enable you to submit an abstract.

Here's how to get started:

  1. Click on the arrow next to "login" at the top right corner of the page.
  2. Select "create account."
  3. Complete the account creation form and choose a username and password.

To complete your registration:

  1. Log in to the website.
  2. Navigate to the "My registration" page on the left menu column (under "My space").
  3. You'll find the registration form to fill out.

Please proceed with your conference registration fee payment using one of the following two options:

A. Transfer the total registration fee amount to the provided bank account using the following details:

Account name (Organization’s name): KMFRI REVENUE A/C
Account address (Full postal address of Organization): P.O Box 34440 80118 Mombasa
Name of Bank: National Bank of Kenya

Important: When making the transfer, kindly include the reference "AfriMAQUA conference" along with your surname. This will ensure proper identification of your payment. Please retain the payment confirmation for your records, which will be needed for verification of your registration at the conference venue.

B. Pay online by following these steps:

  1. Visit the e-citizen portal at https://ecitizen.go.ke.
  2. Sign in using your account number. If you don't have an account number, please register by selecting the appropriate option, such as citizen, resident, diplomat, etc.
  3. After logging in, scroll down and click on "All Agencies."
  4. Search for "KMFRI" (Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute) and scroll down to find "Online Services."
  5. Click on "Conference Booking."
  6. Select "Sign in with SSO."
  7. Click "Continue" and choose "Conference Booking" to initiate your application process.
  8. You will be prompted to make a payment. After submission, you can download your receipt immediately.
